  • Further to the communication dated 31 May 2022 from the permanent mission addressed to the Executive Office of the Secretary-General, the country name was changed from the former name of the Republic of Turkey (former short form: Turkey), with immediate effect. (FAO NOCS, 2022)

Editorial note

  • Short name for lists and tables: Türkiye. Full name: the Republic of Türkiye (FAO NOCS, 2025). In capital letters, the correct spelling is "TÜRKİYE" (keeping the dot on the “İ”, not "TÜRKIYE").
