A complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept- Les Theileriae sont des parasites protozoaires intracellulaires obligatoires qui infectent les Bovidae sauvages et domestiques dans une grande partie du monde. Ils sont transmis par des tiques ixodides et ont des cycles de vie complexes chez des hôtes vertébrés et invertébrés. Il existe un certain nombre d’espèces de Theileria spp. qui infectent les bovins; les deux plus pathogènes et économiquement importantes sont T. parva et T. annulata, qui causent respectivement la fièvre de la côte orientale et la theilériose tropicale.
- Theileriae are obligate intracellular protozoan parasites that infect both wild and domestic Bovidae throughout much of the world. They are transmitted by ixodid ticks, and have complex life cycles in both vertebrate and invertebrate hosts. There are a number of species of Theileria spp. that infect cattle; the two most pathogenic and economically important are T. parva and T. annulata, which cause East Coast fever/corridor disease and tropical theileriosis, respectively.
