A complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept- Órgão internacional, criado em 1988 pela Organização Meteorológica Mundial (OMM) e pelo Programa das Nações Unidas para o Meio Ambiente (PNUMA) com o objetivo de compilar, avaliar, divulgar informação técnica e científica sobre mudanças climáticas e seus impactos ambientais e socioeconômicos, e subsidiar a cooperação internacional para a criação de políticas de mitigação e de adaptação às mudanças climáticas.
