boi-safrinha (off-season cattle)
Definition
A complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept- 1. Activity of the integrated crop-livestock (ILP) and crop-livestock-forestry (ILPF) systems which consists of the insertion of cattle after the harvest of the grain-producing crop, either intercropped or not with forage. Cattle are introduced into the same area and, after a certain period, are removed to start planting the new crop. This type of rotation allows the animals to feed on the remains of crops when pastures are less productive and for more food to be produced with less emission of greenhouse gases. 2. Cattle, when used in this activity.
