History note

  • Between 2009 and 2016, the Competitive African Cotton Initiative (COMPACI) supported the livelihoods of 850,000 farmers in 12 African countries. After the initial active phases of COMPACI concluded, the structure evolved into the industry-governed African Cotton Foundation (ACF) to continue providing long-term private sector support and funding channels for African cotton farmers.
