hydrometeors
Definition
A complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept- Hydrometeors consist of liquid or solid water particles. They may be suspended in the atmosphere, fall through the atmosphere, be blown by the wind from the Earth’s surface or be deposited on other objects. Snow or water on the ground is, by convention, not considered a hydrometeor.
- Los hidrometeoros están compuestos de partículas de agua líquida o sólida que pueden estar suspendidas en la atmósfera, precipitar a través de ella, ser arrastradas por el viento desde la superficie de la Tierra o estar depositadas sobre otros objetos. Convencionalmente, la nieve o el agua depositadas sobre el suelo no se consideran un hidrometeoro.
- Un hydrométéore se compose de particules d'eau, liquide ou solide, en suspension ou en chute dans l'atmosphère, ou soulevées de la surface du globe par le vent, ou déposées sur d'autres objets. Par convention, l'eau ou la neige recouvrant le sol ne sont pas considérées comme des hydrométéores.
