African horse sickness

African horse sickness (AHS) is an infectious but non-contagious arthropod-borne viral disease affecting all species of equidae caused by an orbivirus of the family Reoviridae and characterised by alterations in the respiratory and circulatory functions. AHS is transmitted by at least two species of Culicoides.
La peste equina es una enfermedad vírica infecciosa pero no contagiosa transmitida por artrópodos que afecta a todas las especies de équidos, está causada por un orbivirus de la familia Reoviridae y se caracteriza por trastornos de las funciones respiratoria y circulatoria. La peste equina es transmitida por al menos dos especies de Culicoides.
La peste équine est une maladie virale infectieuse mais non contagieuse transmise par des arthropodes, qui touche toutes les espèces d’équidés. Elle est causée par un orbivirus de la famille des Reoviridae et se caractérise par des altérations des fonctions respiratoires et circulatoires. La peste équine est transmise par au moins deux espèces du genre Culicoides.
