Definition
A complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept- (1) Process by which precipitation is caught and held by vegetation (canopy and litter structures) and then may be lost by evaporation without reaching the ground. (2) Quantity of interception, equal to or less than interception capacity.
- 1) Proceso por el cual la precipitación es atrapada y retenida por la vegetación (capa de humus y follaje) y puede luego perderse por evaporación sin alcanzar el suelo. 2) Cantidad de agua interceptada, igual o menor que la capacidad de intercepción.
- 1) Processus par lequel une partie des précipitations est captée et retenue par la végétation (frondaison des arbres et litière), puis évaporée sans avoir atteint la surface du sol. 2) Quantité d'eau interceptée, égale ou inférieure à la capacité d'interception.
